Good Online Puzzle Games?

What are some good online puzzle games that aren't region blocked? I'd like to play some puzzles with a few of my friends from Europe but I'm in the United States. It doesn't have to be free, I can go out to the store and buy the software, I don't mind, just as long as it's online multiplayer and not region locked. (Although, I cannot afford ones where you have to pay a fee every month to play)Good Online Puzzle Games?
I might have a good option for you.. Have you ever looked at Puzzle Pirates? It is an on-line multiplayer puzzle game in which you can play with your friends (and others if you like). There are people from all over the world, primarily in the US, Europe, and Australia, though I have played with people from other countries too.



The game by itself is actually free, though there are restrictions to being a non-paying member. Generally the restrictions are that you can only play certain puzzles on certain days of the week, although there are some puzzles that are always available.



The general concept of the game is that you work with a crew and play one of three puzzles that control the bilge (empty water from the vessel), carpentry (fill those holes in the wood) and sails (get that ship moving!). Pirates engage in battle to win gold and goods. Your rewards are largely tied to how well you perform in puzzles. Then you can use your gold to purchase clothes, housing decorations, better weapons, or spend them carousing at the inn by playing other games like poker, hearts, etc.



If you haven't tried it yet, I strongly recommend you give it a try. It sounds kind of silly, but it is really fun and there are a lot of great people that play.
